Job Summary:

The role holder will be responsible for the monthly payroll cycle of the company using the payroll software in addition to supporting the personnel administration team in several projects.

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Register all needed employee’s data on the payroll software.
  • Gather, investigate and correct related timekeeping information for all employees.
  • Calculate payroll according to the internal guidelines.
  • Manage and calculate taxes, social insurance and all other deductions.
  • Update paper and electronic payroll records by entering modification on pay rates, employee status changes, etc.
  • Extract all the required reports post the payroll cycle and analyze the findings.
  • Receive and prepare requests for employee-related documents such as salary certificates, salary transfer letters, pay slips, staff discount cards, transportation passes, and other.
  • Handle and follow up on the bank account openings for new joiners and ensure that bank requirements with regards to new applications are met.
  • Manage compensation packages using payroll software.
  • Deal with complaints and questions regarding payroll.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from a reputable institution, preferred if BSc of Commerce.
  • Working as an accountant before will be a strong plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience in payroll function in an industrial company is a must.
  • Using payroll software is a must, preferably if Delta.
  • Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven successful track record of managing payroll cycles and software.

  • Maintain personnel database regarding salaries and oversee salary changes, deductions, bonuses, and etc.
  • Ensure all aspects of the payroll cycle including taxes, benefits, garnishments, etc. are processed, checked, and transmitted accurately and timely
  • Establish and maintain a deep understanding of the customers' requirements and their changing needs to ensure that all services are delivered as per contractual obligations and in accordance with customer SLAs
  • Manage Life Cycle Management changes and their effect on payroll
  • Address and resolve employees' queries related to the payroll system
  • Ensure clear understanding of payroll, benefits, and taxation as well as applicable legislative requirements
  • Prepare reports for GL posting, variance analysis and HR reporting

Your Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in processing payroll at a multicultural company, preferably in a shared services environment
  • Previous background and experience in ERP modules and/or payroll software
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office
  • Team player, committed and attentive to details
  • Fluent English speaker, French is a plus
